The Fine Arts World of Angel Pachamanov

The surrounding world constantly undergoes changes. People vary from their predecessors in their needs and preferences. In these years of globalization and commercialism, when the individuals are subject to enormous information flow and their very physical survival depends on their strained life filled with pragmatic thoughts, moods, and deeds, the only ray of light helping preserve one’s humanity is art. It no mere fancy, no brief whim, it is vitally important spiritual nurturance. In order to counteract the robotification of the individual, art needs to perform its basic function – to impress. If only it were to touch on the innermost parts of the soul of a person, if only it could pull the most sensitive strings, art will establish harmony with one’s true individuality, thus saving them. The modern grate artist chooses his art on his own accord, not heeding academic postulates for the creation of a piece, which is only acquired knowledge as a basis for developing one’s potential. The true artist does not waste one’s days in single – minded pursuit of undeveloped ideas, and novel experimental devices.

For him there is no such thing as obsolete statistics, he has at hand the means of materializing convincingly hi excitement and emotions. It is important to reveal the essence of the problem, to succeed in finding the means of provoking and exciting the perceiving contemporaries.

The works of the artists Angel Pachamanov are emotions incarnate, a moment of eternity captured. They way in which it has been perceived and expressed on the canvas through the expressive devices of painting in oils are interesting and modern.

The author aspires not only at marking the perceived impulse, but also at constructing it effectively through the senses, not for the sake of description, but for the sake of its statistical value.

The hope and desire of the artist is to express the vibrations of the status quo reconsidered and transformed by the author’s subjectivity.

The landscape is a recurring motif the paintings of Angel Pachamanov. It occurs in its varieties in the distinct cycles: Space, Impression, Sky, Earth, Floral Glades, Lilies, Magnetic Fields, etc.

In most compositions the artist resorts to details from reality to serve as signpost in the perception of the work, they are subjects carrying definite information, which when placed in an abstract context acquire a different presence, both modern, and different. The creative interpretation codes some observation of its own, an emotion, something that has caused a flutter in the sensitive artistic spirit, which resonances back onto the canvas.

There is nothing accidental in the compositional structure, each line, stroke of the brush or dip is in the precise place. Sometimes we seem to witness an outburst of scattered colorful strokes, but this chaos is consciously organized. Every hue and nuance has been long and diligently sought. The road from the spontaneously created drawing to the reconsidered and painted in colorful oil work sometimes takes an entire year.

Every stroke of the brush placed next to another creates a definite impression. It might either make the first more concrete, or it might compliment it bringing it in harmony with the overall colors that beam with the exuberance and lyricity of a generalised feeling.

The images, in part of the painting might at first glanced be inscribed within the expressive or impressionist stylistics, but the fixing of one, or several contrasting colors changed the emphasis and twists the massage.

Angel Pachamanov has no wish to imitate the natural reality; he aims at creative recreation and conveying his philosophical considerations.

He is truly motivated in his creative search, trying to achieve a sincere impersonation of his subjective point of view through the devices of fine arts.

And if some critics find that the application of simplified details, clear cut lines, similar colors, multiple variation of one and the same subject is a sign of schematicism and sterility of the imagination, one must very well be aware that this approach has been consciously sought. The aim of the author is to achieve maximum expressiveness, purity, cosmic tenderness and poeticizing of the subject to correspond to the creative temperament of the artist.

The painting Angel Pachamanov start a life of their own on living his studio. They reveal their sacred power to only a few, who have opened up their souls, who enjoy the little things, who have the ability of seeing the invisible.

Man and painting are two separate entities that interrelate strongly. The painting cannot exist without a viewer. It would only be a canvas filled with details, images, forms and volumes created by means of the devices of drawing, painting, etc. A piece of substance in space. But through each involved perception of the spectator the work comes to life. The patina appearing with the years is a sort of shroud that conveys spirituality to the valuable piece of art, transforming it into an eternal confession.
