A long and meaningful creative life of rethinking a construction a personal imagery and devices, reflected through participation in a number of joint exhibition and over twenty solo ones. Exhibitions in which the artist shows us his sensitivity as artist open in all directions – towards the world around and the one within the spiritual dimensions. A creative artist who, through the aesthetics of abstractionism and through an original plasticity achieves a new, unexpected expression. In his canvasses one may frequently detect signs of human presence, signs of the undiscovered, unknown, and immense nature, signs of the mysterious, magnificent, fathomless cosmos. Thus the creative individuality of Angel Pachamanov reveals his stance towards the indigenous, untraditional – all brought out in quite unexpected ways.
In the present chamber exhibition containing only nine works, the artist aims not at quantity, but at the forceful impact of his canvasses to work on our sensitivity and imagination. They encourage us to dream. They release our souls from the daily yoke pf reality and open up the senses to appreciate his creativity.
A magic kaleidoscope revolves around us made up of forms and colors the nature, of the various cross points of the artist and the earth, its forms, seasons and states. Nature in witch the artist goes beyond reality, beyond the specific form to evoke its feelings, thoughts and moods, uniting an imaginary world with reality, creating a different though intimate, world, seeping with energy – a triumph of creation. Through his brush nature becomes a living organism – richer and more interesting and complex than the human mask.
The painter constructs his landscapes through the high and low register of tonality, Dull or bright, his color shimmer in their complex and rich variety, emitting a live light in their own, particles of life, in their modulations of constant movement, share an internal rhythm, of various strength and dynamics. The expressiveness of the forms and colors are combined with the spontaneous light and forceful strokes of the brush, creating a host and additional meanings. The powerful single layered stroke or the fine thin, half – transparent one revealing the structure of the canvas show the mastery over the color and free communication with it.
Among the Bulgarian artists expressing themselves through abstractionism we witness similar thoughts and ideas, and similar expressive devises. Among them, however, Angel Pachamanov has not lost his identity, his personal signature. The works of the artist to this day keep supplying creative changes, new ideas and plasticity showing the sincerity of the artist and his faithfulness to his unique sensitivity and talent.
